Two Iconic Model Robots from the Gundam Series Arrive with Damashii Figures

Bandai Spirits has announced that two significant additions from the film Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway will be made to the Robot Damashii series, which is produced by them and enjoys high demand among anime figure collectors. The models joining the series have been confirmed as the Xi Gundam and the Penelope, two of the film's main mechs.

Hathaway's Iconic Armors

The Xi Gundam is a mobile suit used by the film's protagonist, Hathaway Noa, and stands out with its advanced reactor technology. The Penelope is a model used by the rival pilot Lane Aim, possessing high-speed capability with its 'Flight Form'. It is known from the film that after the Penelope is damaged, Lane Aim temporarily pilots the Alyzeus Gundam.

The figure series will be produced faithful to the anime designs of these two models, complete with detailed joint structures and their characteristic weapons. Among collectors, there is particular curiosity about how Penelope's complex and large-scale design will be implemented in figure format.

Licensed products and figures from the Gundam series constitute a significant market, especially in Japan. Reports indicate that the office sales of Bandai's relevant division are at the level of billions of yen.
